Delete your Cittadella account and data

Cittadella by Geometry Lab L.L.C-FZ. This page explains how to delete your account and your data, with the app or without it.

In the app

Open Cittadella and open Settings from the Today tab.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Confirm with Delete account.

Before deleting, if you want to keep your journal, export it from Settings: you get a file with all your journal entries and your progress.

What we delete

from our servers: the account, the sign-in methods, the journal and the other synced data (path progress, bookmarks, settings), the account's counters, the subscription events and the sign-in sessions;
from Apple: we revoke Sign in with Apple, if you used it;
from the device where you delete it: the journal, your progress and your settings.

Deletion cannot be undone. The database backups that contain the account expire within about 35 days.

What remains

a log with the random identifier of the deleted account and the date, as proof of the deletion, for 90 days;
the free question counters tied to the device, stored as cryptographic hashes that are not linked to the account, until they expire (26 weeks);
the answer reports you sent, without the link to your account;
the purchase data held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat, under their obligations.

Without the app

Write to support@cittadella.app from your account's email address, with the subject "Delete my Cittadella account". If you used Sign in with Apple with the Hide My Email option, write from any address and include the support code you find in Settings, if you can. Before deleting, we check that the account is yours, and then we confirm the deletion. We reply within one month.

Your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel Cittadella Pro. To stop paying, cancel the subscription: on iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions; on Android, open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.

If you never signed in

Your journal exists only on the device: there is no account to delete. To erase it, use Delete all data from this device in Settings, or delete the app.
